Good afternoon.
During part of 1968 my company ran missions in the rocket belt around Saigon. Chuck would set the 122's up on primitive launchers, pick an azimuth and elevation, fire them off and run. I guess you could call them early fire and forget rockets.
Good luck to our forces and to the Iraqi people.

Afternoon to you as well.
When all you have to hit is a section of a city, kill anybody, scare the crap out of people, to achieve your goals, you are in a good tactical situation.
Eventually, they will be brought down. There are just a lot of munitions floating around in Iraq to keep someone who is dedicated enough from doing these types of things. It will take Iraqis to ferret these guys out permanently. We will kill the ones we can. I honor your service my friend.
