"Alcoholic dementia" is fatal if nature takes it's course he will be toast at about 80. I watched someone in my family had a lot of money and the best health care and and domestic help but he did die of this and it is an ugly death!
I pray for his recovery for his family's sake.

Ted is #1 on my list of dems who should be heard every day.
Hillary! is #2.
Carville is #3.
My GOP list:
#1 John McCain (okay, he's already on every day)
#2 Arlen Specter
#3 Chuck Hagel
More is less with all 'em...familiarity breeds contempt.

Don't you have to have a brain to get Alzheimer's?

when the person attempts to hold the arms out in front of the body (also exhibited as a positive Babinski's reflexI hate to nitpick, but I think that's called asterixis. Maybe AQ Geiger could set us straight on that.

What do you mean? Something is wrong with Uncle Piss Pants??

The over indulgence in alcohol has killed so many brain cells that he can no longer control his tongue and hide his true thoughts. What we are hearing is what has been in his heart all along.

I'm all for the democrats crash and burn via Ted Kennedy Expressway but the offer of aid and comfort to the enemy has got to go.
Anyone else with a non-functioning liver would be dead.

I have speculated about this lately about Kennedy too, along with Carter, Mandella and Walter Cronkite. It must be G.W.Bush that brings it out in these nut-cases who managed to at least sound somewhat sane for most of their careers!

I've been thinking about that myself. It's like he's gone back to another time. He's not living in today.

I see a most severe case of cranio-rectosis, compounded by years of alcohol and power abuse.

I'm sure his friends are all cheering him on. Sensible people may find him more and more despicable and out to lunch, but the Bush-haters must love it. And if the voters of Massachusetts haven't rejected him by now, I guess they never will.
The Vietnam talk does seem a bit odd, since JFK was primarily responsible for starting a war he didn't intend to finish, but maybe even Teddy believes the historical revisionism that blames it all on Nixon. I'm sure it doesn't bother his admirers. If you say "Vietnam War" among a crowd of aging hippies, they will all respond with "Tricky Dick."

He's also making the marginally blue ones (some that Pres. Bush probably won in reality) redder!
