"By the way, you are claiming that the existence of 737 illegal votes out of the total 2,456,610 cast in the State (.03 of 1% of the votes cast) is sufficient reason to call on the Federal government to take over the responsibility of conducting elections, charged to the States by the Constitution?"

737 votes were enough to swing the election. If this were intentional and an attempt to steal the election than it is a travesty. There was a lot more here than just these 737 votes. There was a whole lot of things that went on including changing the rules to allow all the Democrat votes to be counted and then not changing the rules to allow Republican votes to be counted. Also there is some evidence that the King County Voter dept was deliberately running things to help the Democrats instead of running fair elections. These 737 votes are significant but they re actually the smallest reason why this should be throughly investigated and legitimate remedy should be made however it can be made.

If it is wrong to have the Federal Government pass meaningful legislation to safeguard the system and enforce the Federal laws we have (remember Federal offices were on the ballot too) because it is a big government thing. Then maybe you think we should have told New York that it should defend Itself and take action on it's own on 9-11(call up you own national guard and invade Afghanistan yourself.) Would you do away with the FBI because it is big government? Defending our country, Its system and something that goes to the heart of our constitutional process is always the process the fair province of the Federal Government.

I also never said that the Federal Government should take over the elections. They should simply make sure they are fair and legitimate. AS far as the states being charged to run elections by the Constitution please read thread 34 and you will see some of the things the Constitution has to say about elections and the Federal obligations and jurisdiction.

It calls for a State level investigation, not for Federal interference.

Ther legislation is already in the books, election fraud is a crime, now quit whining about wanting more laws, and enforce the ones on the book...you sound like a leftist whining about guns, we don't need more laws.
