Most Americans are ignorant of world events - I doubt they know of the expansion of NATO to Russia's doorstep. Also a typical American attitude that I sadly find. What would America say if a military alliance expanded to include Mexico?

Maybe you should have your history lessons updated. Last time a foreign power (Kaiser's Germany) tried to make a military alliance with Mexico against America - America declared war.

Michener's Mexico, a badly written work of fiction not history: Schematic plotting, tortilla-thin characterizations and lengthy digressions on bullfighting mar this lumbering multigenerational saga about Mexico's resilient spirit try reading a real work of history.

By the way, America invaded Mexico when the "bandito" Pancho Villa crossed into America from Mexico - would you be ok if Russia crossed into another country to hunt for terrorists? Or are you invested in your double standard view of the world?
