Quite true, ask yourself this...

Had Gore won Florida in 2000, won the automated recount, and then, after a heavily Republican county "found" enough votes to put Bush over the top, lost - does anyone think he would have played nice and forgone a court challenge?

No way.

In fact even though the only count he ever won was a tally of Florida State Supreme Court justices, he used every tool at his disposal.
