Last time I posted this, the speaker was criticized for his anti-Christian beliefs. Mr. Renan's beliefs or lack of, don't lessen the truth to his statement.

I would suggest that it is a religion and it has spiritual power (demonic power). Of course, this is just speculation, but Islam behaves like a talisman. The more observant and sincere is adherents are, the more they are open to invasion by forces that fan the flames of hatred and murder and destruction.

While there are many moderate Muslims (as USF says, "in name only"), it is the devout who rule Islam and they do it with a fervency that seems otherworldly. What else could make a person strap on a bomb and kill innocent people and what else could make a mother proud of a child who had done so.

It is that faith in something calling to true Muslims beyond the grave that makes Islam dangerous.

Does Freedom of Religion include Freedom from Islam?

Not if you're a muslim, it doesn't.

Makes me wonder, what use are our constitutionally guaranteed freedoms if we can't provide them unconditionally to our immigrants, because fanatical Saudi wahhabi clerics threaten them with sharia?
