Freepers, check out the settlement. It's in PDF form and I don't know what I'm doing.

Agreed.
FOX did cover Terri's father's public plea today to divorce his daughter. I hope and think things might be heating up in the media.
Michael Schiavo HAS to be removed as her guardian.
Indeed. I find myself puzzled by people who believe Michael should still have significant rights as husband. Given that he has openly demonstrated that he no longer considers bound by his marriage vows, I find it an insult to marriage that he have any authority whatsoever as husband.
Michael's actions go far beyond normal adultery. Adultery, after all, is usually a clandestine act; one recognizes that one is bound by legitimate vows, but chooses to break them in the hopes of escaping detection. By contrast, Michael has openly stated that he intends to marry another woman. He is making clear that he has no intention whatsoever of honoring his vows. Why, then, is he considered to have any sort of spousal authority?
Absolutely.

An excellent distinction. He is living with his girlfriend as if they are married, even having two children with her. For all intents and purposes, it's like he's a bigamist with two wives.

It's incredibly ludicrous and an obvious conflict of interest.
BINGO!!! No Bloviating needed!!! Please submit your pithy summation of Terri's case to O'Reilly.
Can anyone say Scott Peterson???
FREEPINFORTERRI ANSWERED: "He was- as part of the settlement. That's the kicker."
That doesn't protect you when there is FRAUD involved!!!
Not exactly. He just needs the only WITNESS to a possible BOTCHED ATTEMPTED MURDER to be SILENCED FOREVER!
He even wants Terri's body to be CREMATED so no testing can be done on her body which could possibly INCRIMINATE him.
If Michael were to turn State's Evidence, I would think he could buy himself quite a bit of protection from prosecution.
It might help, but I don't think he could get off completely. He might get life instead of the death penalty. If the case ever DOES get offiially investigated, there is so much evidence to implicate him, I thnk he would FRY if he DOESN'T turn State's Evidence.
Bttt. or right to be blank blank blank blank.
Bump.
If Terri survives, I don't see what basis there would be for charging Michael with any capital crime. Not that I personally would object to seeing him locked up in a room and "humanely" dehydrated, but I don't think there's anything in the legal system that would provide for any sort of execution unless he succeeds in killing Terri.
???
Isn't assault with intent to kill a felony? He and Felos and their lying doctors should all have to pay a price for their ______________(please fill in the word).
A felony yes, but not one that merits a date with Old Sparky.
Maybe, just maybe he wants to fulfill his wife's wish. It's not about money, she's not going to come back to life and if she were to have any semblence of memory, it would probably not be admissable in court. You know, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. The woman took diuretics. She was anorexic. That'll do it to ya.
Why should Michael just have all of Terri's money, when he can have both, Terri's money, and her life?
Michael wants Terri dead, pure and simple.
"So, it isn't about the money. It's about killing the witness."
Eggzactly!
The sob is dying to see our Terri dead.
