Perhaps one solution would be to deport convicted drug buyers/users to the country from whence their drug supply originated for a "rehabilitation" period of several years?

But that would necessitate the borders be controlled in a way they aren't now. *sigh* Back to square one. EVERYTHING comes down to controlled borders.

LOL. You know what, that would be a GREAT idea. Imagine if a heroin junkie had to spend some time in Afghanistan, or if a Cocaine addict had to spend some time chilling out in Colombia. I think they would drop their habits cold turkey.

That is a really good idea Lark. And much more effective than locking up drug peddlars (which only means two more take their place). Sadly that plan could never occur due to hordes of lawyers waiting in the wings.

But if applied it would work.
