Slightly changing topic to leg room, (and whining a bit).

Southwest has been bally-hooing their INCREASED LEG ROOM lately. Huh? I fly this airline from time-to-time, and if there is more leg room, have they provided to us just how many additional microns of patellar comfort the new interiors provide?

As nearly as I can tell, the new leg room comes from thinner seatbacks. Maybe the discerning passenger can notice the additional room. I certainly do not.

Well, yeah you are whining a bit :-) I've always flown "Herbie Airways" for one reason and one reason alone. He never lied to me. Southwest has always advertised we'll get you there and throw some peanuts at you enroute. Nothing more nothing less. And their crews in the air and on the ground are the friendliest I've ever dealt with 99% of the time.

I had to fly business on Delta twice last year and was treated like a piece of meat by Skyhags from Hell, and my vacation flight to the Florida Keys last winter on United was ruined with cancellations and rude service. And yes, I was the model passenger. Polite, undemanding and never lost my temper despite their ineptitude, and that fact I paid three times what Southwest would have charged. Wrote letters of complaint to both airlines, never received a reply. So, never again. Full service airlines would do well to observe Southwest's customer service and financial business practices. As far as I am concerned they are reaping what they sow.

Give me a smile, a bag of peanuts and wheels up Herbie, just get me there.
