One of the biggest problems with increasing the labor pool via illegal immigration is that this tremendously increases the demand on public services and infrastructure without increasing the tax base(illegals primarily work under the table and pay very little in taxes). It is actually decreasing the tax base (more tax dependents per taxpayer). This is in addition to the fact that an endless supply of cheap labor drives down real wages across the board, which further hurts those of us who really have to pick up the tab.

When emergency rooms and trauma centers are closing left and right because of unpaid bills by ILLEGAL ALIENS, the number if Illegals are unsustainable (one example of many).

The studies (commissioned by ZPG groups such as FAIR, CIS, NumbersUSA) have been refuted in their methodology, plus none of them have taken into account the economic impact of the laborers. Without employees you don't have employers who pay most of the taxes.

Look at the rust belt states where factories sit empty and the population has shrunk. By your theory they should have the best newest hospitals, schools etc...

Productive immigrants are never a drain on tax bases.

Another urban rumor that has been dispelled. Hospitals don't go out of business because they have too many patients, they go out of business when they have too few. Old hospitals in declining areas go out of business because people with good health insurance (or wealthy) go to new modern better equipped hospitals to have their surgery.

Hospitals don't have to accept patients who can't pay (unless they are a charity) and don't have keep emergency rooms open.

Old hospitals close, old supermarkets close, old gas stations close, old theatres close, old restaurants close.....and it's always from too few customers, not too many.
