If you follow immigration as you pretend to you'd know the 1986 amnesty was intended for primarily agricultural workers. Here's a link to refresh your memory:

I'm still waiting patiently for you to comment on his belief employers should be penalized in the future, not rewarded for illegal activity as you obviously desire.

Reagan's amnesty program was not limited to agricultural workers, even if most of the illegal immigrants were working in agriculture at that time, and even if the main proponents were Republicans from ag states. It was open to anyone who met the length of time in country qualification.
