Actually Western civilization is ultimately rooted in Jewish values... respect for life, the striving to achieve freedom, limiting sexual expression to marriage, the Ten Commandments. Our justice system is based more on the Judaic concept of equity than the Christian concept of forgiveness.

Holy War on the Home Front:
The Secret Islamic Terror Network in the United States

(An excerpt) FROM THE PUBLISHER

"Nearly three years after 9/11, the war on terror is far from over. In fact, a leading terrorism expert argues that despite the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the efforts of the Department of Homeland Security, we're not really any safer at all.

Harvey Kushner, a respected adviser to the FBI, the FAA, the INS, and other government agencies, offers frightening new evidence of a unified Islamic terrorist network that is operating inside the United States and planning new opportunities to strike.

Kushner identifies and assesses the violent plans of these Islamic organizations and individuals who take advantage of our reluctance to engage in ethnic profiling. He supports his claims with never-before-seen documents from top-level government sources, exposing a secret network of Arab intelligence agencies, terrorists, university professors, corrupt imams and other religious leaders, and violent criminals.

Some members of this network are recent immigrants; others have been American citizens for years. Some are laundering money from abroad through seemingly innocuous charities and mosques. Some have even infiltrated our military as Arabic translators and Muslim chaplains..."

You are correct, the Greeks were the first to convert. It is also the language of the new testament. (in fact Greek Orthodox churchs still use original text language)

I don't know of anyone who sells posters, but you could take the graphic and enlarge it, then use inkjet iron-on transfer paper to make a t-shirt. I'm planning to try that myself!

oops forgot to mention: it is also worth noting that the Greeks fought off the Ottoman empire to gain regain their independence.

They managed to preserve language, culture and religion in the face of oppression over several hundred years of slavery.

The monestaries in northern Greece still stand as a testament. (they were used in a James Bond movie with roger moore "for your eyes only" 1981) They are affectionaly called the "basement of heaven" for they stark beauty and peace. They are dramatic as heck when you see them in person, no mere picture does them justice.

(its like mount rushmore or the grand canyon after you see it in person.)

>Didn't Greek philosophy pave the way for Christendom? And
>weren't the Greeks the first Gentile converts to
>Christianity?

No. The Law of Moses was given long before. Check out http://christian-thinktank.com/baduseot.html where you'll find this gem...

Aristobulus, arguing that the famous philosophers were actually dependent on Moses(!), advances a rather strange story: "how were Homer and Plato able to gain enlightenment from Moses' Hebrew text? He counters (12.1) with the thesis of an early Greek translation...

The Greeks read the words of the God of Israel, and the inspiration continued with Christianity.

Good sir, I hope you take my word for it when I tell you of a quote I once read, whose jist was ...

[Our constitution is fit only for a God fearing people].

Maybe it was "Christian" people. Anyways, if there is a 5th column in this country pretending to be harmless lovable fuzzballs, while positioning themselves to slit our throats, then *this* would not be a situation that our central values were written to handle.

Without Jesus Christ, we are toast. Now and forever.

Freedom of religion? What if my religion demanded your blood?

"But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful."
Qur’an 9:5

"Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued."
Qur’an 9:29

Where does my "Freedom of Religion", with it's demand for your blood, end, and your right to draw another breath begin?

Time to pray.

Your freedom to practice your religion in the US ends when that religion promotes the death of American citizens and the destruction of our government . Have a little common sense man. The founders of this nation couldnt imagine , in their wildest dreams , what is going on now with the situation of Islam and terrorism . Do you seriously think they would stand with you with your opinions you posted here tonight /? They were men of common sense .

Doesn't matter what YOU think, fact is, it's a religion followed by over a billion people in some way or another. So the freedom of religion enjoyed by the citizens of this country still stands. Kill the terrorists, do not undermine the central values of our country.

What I think DOES matter pal, and I don't care if 1 billion or TEN billion Islamofascists belong to their satanic death cult, their core beliefs call for the extermination of all those who will not bow down and submit to Islam. That constitutes a call for genocide, and if one wishes to be technical about it, that violates laws at nearly every level.

Freedom of religion does not include the right to commit, or to advocate terroristic acts, got it?
