ROCK ISLAND -- Sarah Kolb spent time on the Internet, including participating in various chat rooms and blogs. A look at Sarah Kolb's online chatter reveals the teen definitely had a darkside.
Like many teens, Kolb spent a fair amount of time on the Internet. Even maintaining her own page on a Web site called deviantart.com.
She posted pictures of herself there last year. A shaven head gives the teen a more ominous appearance than recent images of her outside the courthouse.
Just below her picture is the image of a hand-holding an extremely large knife which Kolb downloaded as her favorite image at the time.
After Kolbs arrest, friends told the media Kolb didn't appear to be a violent person.
They were my friends for years, said Sean McKitrick. I didn't think they were capable of such a thing.
Contrast that with Kolb's profile on the Web site Quad City Ninjettes where she wrote "gouging your eyes out with a [expletive] spork" as her weapon of choice.
The site is for fans of the band Insane Clown Posse a group that's been heavily criticized for violent lyrics like, "I'd never thought it would be so easy murdering a priest," a line from the band's Hell's Pit album.
Kolb's alleged partner in crime Cory Gregory also has a webpage at Deviantart.com. On it is a haunting journal entry made earlier this month. It reads: Day after day i sit in this place - wishing each day I had to face - something better than this - where I never get pissed - and all this pain would not remain - with life making sense
None of the online chatter is evidence of Sarah Kolb's or Cory Gregory's guilt. The messages and images do, however, provide some insight into the minds of the two teenagers who will soon stand trial for murder.
The murder trials of Sarah Kolb and Cory Gregory are scheduled to begin on April Fourth. Nate Gaudet is slated to testify against the pair.
