As much as the girl killer deserves punishment for her murderous rage, her accomplice deserves it as much. He didn't even have envious rage as motivation. It would seem he just found the idea of murder in the abstract as a cool way to spend an evening.
ROCK ISLAND -- Cory Gregory,17, is in custody in the Rock Island County Jail, accused of helping to kill Adrianne Reynolds and dismembering her body.
Gregory was arrested today at his house in Moline, charged with first-degree murder and concealing a homicidal death.
It alleges he played a role in the dismembering of Adriannes body, Rock Island County States Attorney Jeff Terronez said Thursday.
Parts of Adriannes body were found in Black Hawk State Park in Rock Island late Tuesday night. Police believe she was strangled and beaten to death in broad daylight in a car at a taco bell parking lot in Moline.
Reynolds body was then taken to the Mercer County town of Millersburg and cut into pieces after failed attempts to burn it to try and conceal the crime.
Sarah Kolb, 16, was charged with first-degree murder Wednesday. Students at the alternative school where Adrianne and her accused killers all attended say they're not surprised, that Kolb and Gregory are joined at the hip.
I honestly think the two of them probably did it together, classmate Betty Wilson speculated Wednesday. That's how close they were. If one of them was going to go down, the other was going to go with them.
Co-workers and friends of Adrianne Reynolds' family set up an account in the teenager's name at Wells Fargo banks. You can go to any Wells Fargo branch and tell them you want to donate to the Adrianne Reynolds Fund.
