The stock market won't go bust. Move your money around, get some gold shares and for cryin' out loud start investing in local businesses that you know are quality, profitable entities who are here to stay and where your friends work.

No Freeper should own one share of any business they don't understand intimately.

Duh, that's the point. That is exactly what SS will be doing if nothing is changed.

That is an inevitable reality regardless. FYI, congress passes spending legislation. Not the President. Spending originates in the House.

In point of fact, the Democrats cut SS benefits when Clinton was in office. By *raising the taxes* on benefits they *cut* the actual $$ received by the recipients. If ya get less, your benefits are cut.
