I heartily agree. And for those who think that employers would treat employees fairly in the absence of laws need to study the history of unions in the U.S.
The law actually supported the employers against the workers.
If that were the case, unions would not exist and employers would be free to do whatever they wanted to improve the bottom line.
A lot of the laws protecting worker's rights are the result of union dispute arbitration decisions.
