Though I don't always agree with him, Greg's got some good points here. (then again, that's the beauty of being a black conservative -- I don't have to agree, or disagree, with everything anyone says for the sake of agreement)
The year Berry won the Oscar, I thought she deserved it for "Monster's Ball," even though a lot of folks didn't. But it wasn't a big deal to me. It was just the Oscars.
The other thing that bugs me is the venom reserved for those conservatives (black, white or otherwise) who do not fall prostrate from the words of Ann Coulter. (see the statement above) We don't have to agree with everything any "annointed" conservative says. Or do we?

I admire Ann but she's purposely provocative and Kane's criticism in no way makes him a "bad conservative." We conservatives seem to have gotten a lot more knee-jerkingly defensive. Peggy Noonan was hit pretty hard here because she said she didn't like Dubya's 2nd Inaugural.
1. Peggy is indisputably on our side and was on our side when it wasn't cool.
2. She has a right to her opinion.
3. And this applies to Kane.
