Well, that's the sign of an empty mind devoid of valid argument, play the newbie card. What's next, brag how your postcount equals the size of your libido? Lamer forum tactics, I have a bigger &*** than you because I've been here longer

Ouch...you sound a little angry... Newbies are welcome anytime..no need to get defensive.

The song is neither wittily worded nor particularly funny. Half of it doesn't even rhyme, the parts that do use redundant and facile rhymes.

Obviously some of us beg to differ. Did you sing it with the music link (as opposed to scanning it to the original liricks)? That is what really makes it come together. It is not a "poem" it must be accompanied by the music...everyone who has followed Doug knows this. (I needed lesson 101 when I first started here too....) Plus have you ever heard of verse and chorus? ....the chorus is repeated after every verse...How many times is the chorus "band on the run" sang in the song band on the run. Geesh....

It's just a parody that some of us enjoy. Lighten up...and welcome to Free Republic. (and yes that's a genuine welcome) Hopefully some good grace can rub off.

Wow. We have a new FReeper here whom I don't think I want to have over for dinner. :) He sounds like an angry RAT rather than one of us.
