After the election there was a tremendous amount of interest in it. It was well studied. I did read somewhere a well researched study that suggested the flag and teachers had been decisive. I just don't know the exact source of the article, so I did not site it. But I was not purely speculating.
I take it you are recent to this thread. I have addressed the "flag is tainted" issue at length in several posts. Besides, what is wrong with spite? We need a lot more spite these days in my opinion, and a lot less caving in.
I was not aware the '56 flag had been changed on the Georgia page. The topic has actually been debated on threads and changing it to the new flag was always shouted down by much greater numbers favoring the '56 flag. If it has been change then shame on FR for caving in to PC. Is there no sanctuary from PC?
I did read somewhere a well researched study that suggested the flag and teachers had been decisive. The flag, teachers, the people who were upset about that road around Atlanta, the people who didn't like King Roy's penchant for proclamations and back-room deals, and a host of others.
As I say, the mainstream media likes to pretend it was just the flag, because they want Georgians to appear to be a bunch of ignorant redneck KKK sympathizers, but the reality was much more complicated, and the flag supporters were only a small part of why Roy Barnes lost.

If you're such a Georgia flag supporter, why isn't there one on your FR homepage?
