Thanks for the offer. However, I'll buy one that has a DVI port.

ADB isn't a video connector.

Oh, yes. The mouse and serial bus for old systems like the Mac+ and the LC series. I remember those from 1990.

I think that video acronym is ADC? Just saw one of the adapters for it during an unsuccessful attempt to see the Mac mini. :')

I forget the name of the device, but take heart, there is something out there! I've seen it at MicroCenter, and I assume it's at other computer stores as well. It's a switchbox that you plug keyboard, mouse and monitor into, and then two computers feed into it, so that the two share the same input and viewing hardware.

It's not something I'm in the market for, so I don't remember the brand; I only noticed it in passing as I was looking for the cheapest USB hub.

For $350, you get the complete Dell that does everything you want is complete and works for the average home user.

Unless you want to play any 3D video games, write CDs, read DVDs, listen to quality music or pull video from your DV camera. Those are all pretty average home use things, and the Dell doesn't do them (depending on the current promotions), while the Mac does, plus comes with lots of software to help you do it.
