"It's th arrogance of MAC people that offends me. The call me stupid because I have a better, faster machine for half the cost...."
Generalizing users of a particular OS strikes me as a bit odd... Maybe 10 years ago, when there were less than a handful of crossover programs between Mac and PC and the Mac cost was WAY above PC...
Speed is a subjective thing nowadays anyway... Question should be how productive are you in a given task? How often are you dealing with OS induced errors and not working on projects? System freezes? SLOW and FOREVER startups? Pop Up ads and SPY ware junk when you try to check the news? God forbid you try to add a sound card, the hard drives will probably freak and crash!
I'd much rather pop open the laptop and get to work (haven't had to restart my machine for about 3 weeks, OSX never crashes, I hear that's a UNIX thing).
But to each his own, besides it's almost a seamless world with MS Office...
Just like Fords and Chevy's! ha ha! They all run on the same liquid...

I used to be an online gamer where speed and perfomance is everything. Not one top player was on a MAC, matter of fact I never heard of any the gamers talking about how fast their new MAC was. In online gaming machine speed is everything. Same goes for crunching 90 meg 3d rendering application files. The biggest 3d rendering programs weren't even ported to MAC when they first came out. There is no question that PC's are the fastest machines to work with and if it is setup right it won't crash any more than MACS do. Just because something costs more doesn't mean it is better.
