That I can confirm. Some of the nastiest crashes I've experienced have been on XP as opposed to 98SE, which I still prefer to use.
I have XP SP2 and don't have any problems... Best OS I have tried yet.

I've never had an XP crash. I guess keeping all of that Adware/Spyware off the machines pays off. I had a Linux crash today. I was running Knoppix from a CD and the machine locked up while I was trying to install a printer.
If you are crashing XP you have a hardware/motherboard conflict and are probably using old buggy software.
I believe it is a combination of the computer and the OS. I had nothing but problems with MS ME. Others had no problems at all.
I had a computer built from scratch and XP installed. It went into operation on 9/24/03 on 4/12/04 I had some problems, and haven't had anymore through this day 1/26/05.
To me that is amazing. But also I know XP will be less reliable in other computers.
For me it works, and I would be reluctant to change. - Tom
Crashes are usually the result of the same ol'.....if someone has a problem with windows the problem usually lies between the chair and keyboard.
