Coming out in Springfield Which of 'The Simpsons' regulars is gay -- and will get married when their town legalizes same-sex weddings? By Stephen Kiehl Sun Staff James Dobson has his work cut out for him. Last week, the conservative flame-thrower denounced SpongeBob SquarePants - the harmless cartoon sponge who holds hands with his friends and lives in an underwater pineapple - for appearing in a "pro-homosexual video." Next month, a regular character on The Simpsons will come out and be married in a same-sex wedding. Simpsons producers haven't revealed which character turns out to be gay, but that hasn't stopped fans from speculating or placing bets on who it might be. Patty Bouvier, the chain-smoking, raspy-voiced sister of Marge who has rarely dated men, seems to be the leading contender - one Web betting site, PaddyPower.com, stopped taking wagers because so much money was being placed on her. But before spreading more idle gossip, let's deal in facts.

Smithers and Burns?
Patty seems to be the obvious choice
I would say Marge's sisters, but they like McGuiver.
And they are sisters, not that that matters with a gay marriage --- two consenting adults and no liklihood of children.
Finally, Simpsons looks like it might be dying. They stink on ice when they get on a soapbox.
Marge once said Patty chose a life of celibacy, Selma simply had it thrust upon her.
Bingo!
Longshot: Ned Flanders.
I think it's Lenny and his friend...
The Simpsons is still on the air?
Longest running "sit-com" in television history.
Could the Simpsons be jumping the shark?
Note: Jumping the Shark refers to the "Happy Days" episode where blah blah blah blah blah.
No, it'd have to be the kid's TV character. The clown.
Lenny and Carl. Together, officially, at last!!!!
Well the show has been declining in quality for the past 5 years, but that's another issue
The Simpsons are jumping the shark.
That's my bet, Lenny & Carl. And I believe this will be the Simpson's "Jump the Shark" episode.
I'm guessing Moe.
