Several years ago, I was watching the 11pm news on one of the local stations. The female anchor, who was fairly new, was trying to transition to the weatherman. It was expected to snow overnight and into the next day. I can't remember her exact quote, but it went something like this. "Well (insert name of weather guy) I see we have some snow on the way. It's been quite awhile since we had a good dump."
The weatherman couldn't contain his laughter. They went to commercial, but he was still hysterical after the break. No weather that night. I still laugh when I think of it. I love live TV.
Man! Sparkles all over my monitor again!
There was one similar to that on one of those "Funniest Live TV" shows. The female anchor tried to transition to the weather by making a comment about a predicted snow storm that never materialized. She Said, "So, Tom where's that 7 inches you promised me last night..." Needless to say the entire production broke down into fits of laughter.
That is hilarious!
Your story reminded me of one I saw during a golf tournament.
It was a very blustery day and Tiger Woods was about to hit an iron shot. As he bent over the ball, that English sounding commentator whispered into the mike:
"And the wind is coming from Tiger's rear".
LOL! They all laughed so hard I thought Tiger was going to hear and throw a wood at 'em!
