DR. CONDI's WAR

Whew!

You know, ever since I went to Iraq in November 2003, I had been wondering how the devil I had gotten there.

Standing in the parking lot outside the Palace in the Green Zone, surrounded by my luggage, I remember thinking: "Who is responsible for this?"

Yesterday, Senator Ted Kennedy (D-MA) joined Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) in providing the answer: Dr. Condoleezza Rice.

It was all her fault.

There was once a time when the whole business of foreign policy was treated with a depth and dignity essential to making certain our foes didn't underestimate America's resolve.

Senate Democrats, through their political arm the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, showing they are perfectly happy to squat in the shallow end of the kiddy pool, issued a fund raising letter signed by Barbara Boxer which stated:

"[I]n order to put the brakes on four more years of misdirection in Iraq and reckless policies at home, we need to elect more Democrats to the Senate during the 2006 midterm elections."

According to Anne Gearan's Associated Press piece on the issue, the Democrats' deeply felt, well-reasoned, clearly stated essay ended with the patriotic plea: "Click here to contribute to the DSCC today."

The leadership of the DSCC should be flogged.

Senator Edward Kennedy is the child of one of the great family fortunes in American history. True, it was a fortune founded on rum-running, but when you make enough money, how you made it is often overlooked.

Kennedy has never been a paragon of virtue. Take, for instance, his college career. Here's a teeny glimpse: "Like his brothers, Ted attended Harvard College. While there, he arranged for a friend to take a Spanish exam for him, an incident he later had to own up to before taking public office."

That academic malfunction was not quoted from a right-wing blog. It was from the Public Broadcasting System's website. PBS, ladies and gentleman.

The PBS bio goes on to describe the unpleasantness at Chappaquiddick following which, again according to PBS, "Kennedy did not report the incident immediately. Later, he pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident."

Dr. Rice, on the other hand was born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1954 in the days when being a Black girl was not exactly a guaranteed rocket ride to high status.

According to her biography, she "… earned her bachelor's degree in political science, cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Denver in 1974; her master's from the University of Notre Dame in 1975; and her Ph.D. from the Graduate School of International Studies at the University of Denver in 1981."

Well. Isn't this interesting? It seems that Senator Kennedy - who was caught cheating in college and who tried desperately to dodge responsibility in the accident which caused the death of a young woman - may not be the very best person to challenge the sincerity and honesty of Dr. Rice's positions.

Iraq was released from the strangle hold of the Saddam regime in less than a month. Iraq's sovereignty was returned in sixteen months. Iraq is less than a week away from holding its first free and open elections in more than three decades.

Just as a point of interest, do you know when Germany was granted its full sovereignty following World War II?

1955. Ten years after the end of the war.

One can only wonder what level of projectile sweat today's Senate Democrats would have exhibited following the end of the Second World War with the abysmal failure of the Truman and Eisenhower Administrations to bring stability to post-war Germany.

Dr. Rice will be confirmed today. She will be a great Secretary of State.

The Senate Democrats should be ashamed of themselves.

On the [Secret Decoder Ring page] today: Links to the PBS bio of Kennedy and the White House bio of Dr. Rice; a very telling Mullfoto and a sweet Catchy Caption of the Day. [to get to the Secret Decoder Ring page] just click on the link provided.

My favorite comment from Rich's email:

"The Senate Democrats should be ashamed of themselves."

and ..

"Well. Isn't this interesting? "There was once a time when the whole business of foreign policy was treated with a depth and dignity essential to making certain our foes didn't underestimate America's resolve."

Obviously dignity, patriotism, and honesty are traits neither Boxer or Kennedy possess. I believe that these two no longer have the best interest of America at heart! Come to thing of it sKerry could easily be added to this den of traitors.

I think the time is fast approaching when we, the American people should start openly calling these people, Boxer, Kennedy, Dayton, Byrd, Kerry, etc. exactly what they are, traitors and guilty of treason against these United States!!! I only wish I had the power of the almighty to dispatch these malcontents and America haters to kingdom come, and in return, bring back to life an equal number of our precious, brave sons or daughters who gave their lives in support of our country and freedom. But, since no human being has the power or right to do such a thing, no matter how much it is warranted, we should get rid of the Democrat Party in total, to its core by voting it out of office forever!!! IMHO I am convinced in my heart of hearts that the current Democrat Party has emboldened, if not abetted our enemy, and as such, caused additional American lives to be lost and wounded. This traitor political party needs to be destroyed at the polls by the American people.

I often wonder what our founding fathers would have to say regarding our current state of affairs, and our elected representatives. Is our country following the path of their choosing? How would they feel about our social programs?
Certainly there would be some things they would be pleased with, however there would be many programs where they would question the Constitutional legitimacy of.
Would many people care about their comments and concerns? I fear not, for most people vote for representatives that promise the most freebies, and have little or no concern about the Constitutional limitations originally imposed on our federal government.

Every time I hear that abominable scoundrel Kennedy question the merits of someone like Condi Rice, I don't whether to laugh or reach for the sick bag. This is the state that we've reached in America: an incompetent, boozing, lying, philandering, murdering pig like Kennedy is revered by all the libs for slandering an accomplished overqualified person of sterling character like Dr. Rice. I'm ashamed for my country at the spectacle of Condi having to put up with these Dem cretins.

My Seantor, Evan Bayh, is voting against her and gave a speech yesterday. He ws just reelected posing as a moderate.

Is this big news in Indiana, which voted for Bush? Well it would be, but the Indianapolis paper has it buried as a one-line sentence in the body of an AP story, when it should be headlined as a separate story.

Today I am calling the paper, the Senator's office, and talk radio.

I am angry and I want everyone to know what a weasel Evan Bayh is. Grrrr.

Good for you! I was shocked when they reported that Evan had voted against her. I can't imagine why he would do that!

Once upon a time in America, there was a Democrat Party that was led by freedom-loving Americans that were willing to fight against our enemies.

That day is long past.

The Democratic Party is dead.

They lost their soul, and now they have lost their brains.

They're flat-lining.

Call the Coroner...
