"A friend and co-worker believes this and stopped wearing his glasses 3 years ago. He says his sight has actually improved without glasses."
I'd hate to get in a car with him.
I always thought this was a scam, but there was a question on the NASA astronaut application form that wanted to know if your vision had been corrected to 20/20 using either surgical or eye muscle training techniques (such as See Clearly, etc.). I meant to research this question further to try to understand if this implied that there was actually some success to the method, but I never did.

Here's what I don't understand. The army will refuse you for certain MOs (possibly for any) if you have laser-corrected surgery, but once you enlist, they will perform the surgery themselves.

Unless those exercises can change the shape of your eye, which is why one can't see clearly, exercises do nothing except strain your eyes.
