Prayers
Prayers on the way.
The only other info I could get was on Fox News and they said that the helicopter was hauling Marines from the 1st MarDiv. while they were conducting security operations.
Well, if it's crashed, I'd presume the helicopter is beyond "breaking" and probably "broken".
Okay, okay,.... prayers being sent.
Prayers now.
Nuts.
PRAYERS UP!
SEMPER FIDELIS BROTHERS!
GODSPEED!

Though my hearts go out to these people, i think this is the exact reason why people think things are going bad in iraq. Every from a death to a blown tire on a hum-V is reported as breaking news. Do we really need to know this? I say throw out the MSM until they give equal cover to the good thats going on in Iraq.
Prayers.
I don't know , but 31 MEU use CH-53 in western Iraq .
I heard on WMAL-AM 630 that there are about 17 dead and the helo was carrying many more, who were in the area to help with election day security.

Jan. 26, 2005 At least 31 Marines have been killed in an apparently weather-related helicopter crash about 220 miles west of Baghdad.
Officials said low visibility appears to have contributed to the accident, and the transport helicopter apparently was not downed as a result of enemy fire.
Personnel from the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing were transporting personnel from the 1st Marine Division to western Iraq at approximately 1:20 a.m. local time when the crash occurred near Ar Rutbah, Iraq. The Marines were going out to help election workers, officials said.
The 1st Marine Division is based out of Camp Pendleton in San Diego.

...damn!....just heard on WHIO radio that all 30 aboard have perished. RIP.
Crash was caused by mechanical failure or sand storms......30 Marines are dead according to Jim Miklaszewski on the Today Show.
Maga-dittoes.....
My heart has been heavy ever since hearing this. Anyone reading this who has lost family and friends in our war against terror, thank you for your sacrifice and your loved one's sacrifice.
Oh no!!!! Prayers goes out to those on board.
