Twenty years???? It took TWENTY YEARS????
As I said in another thread, the only reason it took 20 years is because he was sentenced to die before the changes Clinton signed restricting access to the federal courts. (Of course he only signed it because Congress had enough votes to override a veto.) Anyone sentenced to death row before the legislation took effect are grandfathered under the old system and have nearly unlimited appeals to the federal courts.
