Stopping terrorists and stopping Mexican laborers are two separate issues, involving two entirely different strategies.

Until a guest worker program is implemented the cost of stopping all Mexican laborers would be next to impossible. All you would do is divert funds from anti-terrorist activities.

We already have 5 guards per mile on the southern border and still only catch 1/4th to 1/2 the Mexican laborers. How many would it take to catch all of them. And how would that stop terrorists?

State sponsored terrorists fly first class into the U.S. using visas acquired with official government issued documents. They don't take the unreasonable risk of being one of the 25% to 50% caught swimming the Rio Grande or trekking for three days across deserts.

If you want to stop Mexican laborers that's fine, but you only make a fool out of yourself when you claim you're trying to stop terrorists.

Reference?? Try to remember they don't work 24 hour shifts.

You just cna't stop lying, can you. You can get medical help for that condition.

There are less then 10,000 Border Patrol Agents.

Approximately 1,000 work the northern border and another 1,000 work in coastal areas and interior.

That leaves approximately 8,000 for the 2,000 miles of the southern border.

That leaves approximately 4 per mile, except not all Agents are on duty at one time. At one time, approximately ¼ of the staff is working as the others of off, sick, on leave or on detail.

That leaves approximately 2,000 Agents on duty at one time. Not all Agents patrol the border, as there are other duties that must be performed.

So, in reality, there is less then 1 Agent per mile at any one time.

Reality is what were are talking about bayourod, not some delusional fantasy you live in.

NON SEQUITER

On what basis do you believe that a "guest worker program" will in any way curb illegal crossings?

Terrorists don't come here that way if they're on our government's terrorist watch list.

How in hell can you have a valid guest worker program if you don't even try to enforce the current immigration program?

So, if the guest worker program fails and just becomes another avenue for illegals to cheat the system, what are you going to do then? Open the borders to the world? But I guess that's what you want, to make the entire southwest into a third world barrio where laws are laughed at.

Tell Mexicans to fix their own problems, it isn't like they don't have enough natural resources. The only reason we have this program is that they are corrupt socialists. And you want to import more of their problems here? How irresponsible.
