I guess you're liberal friend is thinking of the notorious "fake but accurate" story in the New York Times, in which the secretary "verified" the contents of the forged memos. It's a stupid story in my opinion. But if this is what you're looking for I hope it helps.

THE 2004 CAMPAIGN: NATIONAL GUARD; Memos on Bush Are Fake But Accurate, Typist Says (NY Times pay site)

(Note that the NY Times site has some corrections to the article as it was originally published).

Sorry, where I typed "you're" I meant to type "your." I'm not really that illiterate!

President Bush was not an "Airman."

Actually, yes he was an "Airman". In fact, all personnel in the United States Air Force (Guard, Reserves and Active duty) are called "Airmen", including the women, officers and enlisted as well. That is a proper term, especially for a flyboy like Bush was.

Thanks for your note, Master Sergeant -- that makes sense.

My recollection is the secretary had some links to the Democrats. The family also refuted her comments, saying the forged documents did not accurately reflect the commander's feelings for Lt. Bush, which were positive.

Next time, kiss my a/ss.

A man took his family to the circus with trepidation. He always feared the clowns who picked on him mercilessly and he felt impotent to defend himself. And, again, it happened.

Clown: I'm sorry sir but is that your nose are you eating a banana?

The crowd roared its approval and the man was humiliated.

Another clown approached him and said, "I'm sorry sir is that your head or are you chewing on a watermelon?"

Again, he could think of nothing and left the arena in tears. However, this time he vowed he would gain revenge. He found the services of a local man who ran a course in snappy comebacks. It cost him $500 and 2 hours per week of study for the next year but when the circus came back he had graduated from the course and was ready.

He took the family to the circus again and was loaded for bear. He waited with anticipation for the first clown to approach him for his chance at revenge.

The biggest, scariest clown in the group spotted him and rushed toward him yelling, "Do birds nest in that hair?" The crowd roared.

Finally, he had his chance. All his money, study, and work were about to pay off. He quickly reviewed everything he had learned and confidently retorted, "F*ck you, clown!"

You seem a little testy today, my friend. If you've been chatting online with a liberal I can certainly understand that! I'd be testy too! If you're trying to change a liberal's mind, well, I admire your ambition.

Testy? Maybe. I post a question on a forum supposedly used by fellow conservatives, and instead of getting the help I asked for, to shove a liberal dogs charges down his throat, and these supposed fellow conservatives just respond with wiseass remarks.
