Peach, I'm going through your links again regarding Saddam's ties to UBL (was prompted by reading Col. David Hunt's books "They Just Don't Get It -- How Washington Is Still Compromising Your Safety"), and I'm wondering why the Administration has been so silent in the face of the left's assertions that there was no connection between Saddam and al Qaeda. I understand that there may be no definitive evidence of a connection, no smoking gun so to speak, but there was a lot of buzz about such a connection ten years before we invaded Iraq. The Administration's silence on this, as well as on bits and pieces of information about the fate of Saddam's WMDs, has almost been like a conspiracy of silence. It's beyond weird.
Hi, My2Cents. It's beyond weird is right. And I wish I had an answer for you. Given that the left was writing about the relationship in the 90's, and there is quite a lot of evidence to support the claim there is/was a relationship, I don't understand the silence.
I wish I had an answer for you, but I don't. And it's frustrating beyond belief.
