Well, I think you deserve that post because you're being so cheerful and showing such firm resolve.
Some religious people believe that they serve the Lord at His pleasure, for a while on Earth, and then in Heaven, and that it's entirely up to Him when is which. These people believe that the trials on Earth -- even the physical suffering - which He does not cause but which exist in our deeply fractured word because of all human sin -- are an opportunity, and that one can tell the truth about who God is and His mercy, and evangelicize well, simply by bearing the trials with grace.
I have met such people. They are amazingly cool, and pretty much proof of God. And since God wishes us to worship Him, surely He shows great favor to those who bear earthly trials with the joy of sure salvation.
It's a weird thing to say, of course, because no one should *expect* or *demand* that someone who is sick be cheerful, but when you meet a person who is -- or who tries so convincingly -- it really *is* inspirational and it does remind you of Christ's presence among us.
OK, that said, LOL, yup, I've been popping back in now and then. Hoping that by now um perhaps Billie's forgotten that I totally abandoned her. But I *have* got a lot of church-going, quilting, and reading in since I redid my schedule, and that was my goal, so I'm probably not feeling as guilty as I should . . . . ;) Well, you truly our one of Freeper's finest. I always look for your posts.
