Lieberman gave a good speech during "morning business". He quoted from the President's inaugural address (agreeing with his call for freedom) and gave high praise to Dr. Rice's qualifications---ending his speech by giving support for her nomination as SOS with confidence.
A good solution would be told hold them all to a few minutes each. I doubt they can even hold this to nine hours..
