Lieberman wants us to "come together." He seems to be unwilling to be associated with the
"The Condi Rice Smearings"

I love how the media is making excuses for their Demonrat counterparts. How the Demonrats aren't playing politics or being petty but they actually have serious questions in regards to her nomination! This coming after the way Boxer attempted to void the election and attempt a coup in challenging the election results! And the media tried to silence that quickly. THESE ARE BIG ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE USED BY THE GOP DURING THE 2006 ELECTIONS. They continually pull these partisan, time consuming games. They aren't about to play fair or reasonable. These people are the enemy and it will only get worse if the GOP doesn't respond back and put an end to this. No more Mr. Nice guy but will Frist and the rest of the spineless GOP get it?

Lieberman quoting from Bush's Inaugural Address...saying the principles and policies in it are neither Democratic nor Republican...That some of the same words were spoken by Democratic leaders in similar times of crisis.

I've been impressed by his speech, too. He's acting like a statesman...few politicians act that way today.

Lieberman talking about the story of Condi's background of talents, family, hard work.

Lieberman: At the time she was born, no one would have dreamed she would be Sec. of State. Children being born in Baghdad now who will achieve great things, too.

Yes he is and I applaud him for it.
You're right there sadly are too few. I loved that someone from the Dims finally decided to celebrate her and her achievements

Lieberman's Senate speech before clinton's impeachment impressed me too. His vote not to impeach contradicted what he had said, however.

MSNBC showing a clip from Today Show with Tim Russert and his "serious journalist" face on speaking to the Perky One.

He is informing how the dem plan is to make this debate about Rice's confirmation a referendum on the Iraq War which prompted Perky to ask about the "exit strategy".

He seems to be saying he will vote to confirm Rice and is encouraging others to confirm her.

I hope he says something like this during the debate.

You know, I rarely see such viciousness than out of the left when it comes to a minority being a Republican. I know that some liberals might feel threatened that their monopoly over ideas is waning, but would that not seem a good thing? It’s a pattern, with that black woman judge, Alberto Gonzalez, and now this. I am convinced that they view everything through the lens of race.

Does that make them guilty of racism?
