"I think I learned a little more about the organization of terrorist cells"
Yup, me too. The hair was standing up on the back of my neck as he went through the details. I think that was the best part of the movie.
Also thanks for the link. I was hoping a lot more people from FR would have watched this movie.
Do you think Bush will come out again to try to teach us what to do in case this happens?
"There was a very thought provoking line in the movie. When interrogating one of the planners, an interrogator pointed out that the bomb would hurt more muslims as the west would be sure to retaliate. The terrorist was unfazed and replied, "We expect retaliation - it unites us and divides you."
Yes, that line stuck with me too. I kept thinking about that line as I tried to fall asleep. It makes perfect sense that they do everything for that reason.
Wasn't it chilling how the man considered his 5 year old son just another casualty of their cause?
"Nuclear, Biological, & Chemical Warfare- Survival Skills, Pt. II"
WOW! Now that is some very good info. Thank you!
This AM, local Boston news has the arrest of the original four Chinese nationals, plus the tipster, plus a pilot. Also talk about Mexican authorities questioning others...developing.

OMG, this is Big! Thank you for the heads up. I bet Fox morning will be all over it; or they better be.
I just finished watching it. I have to admit I was very underwhelmed, in terms of plot. The reality is that not much happens in a dirty bomb attack, outside of the immediate area of the blast. Everything else is psychological, and practically none of that was brought up except via the fake news reports at the very end, which only lasted about 45 seconds.
One of the last scenes in the movie really scared me.
When confronted with the possibility of the West's retaliation, the lead terrorist smiled and said "we welcome your retaliation...it unites us and divides you".

I think that stuck with a lot of us. It was chilling.
Thanks for looking!
Thanks for the info, very helpful!
Marvelous movie. The British actors were sort of unknowns, it felt real to me and very scary.
I wondered why the crowd didn't simply shed clothing and firehoses used on them,,that would be better than nothing.

Like hundreds of other exchange students living in Hamburg, Germany in the 1990s, Muhammad Atta, Ziad Jarrah and Marwan al-Shehhi were quiet, orderly tenants who never drew attention to themselves. But on September 11, 2001, they became part of the worst attack ever waged on U.S. soil. This daring drama sheds light on these young Islamic men who were transformed into Al Qaeda killers while in Hamburg--and who would eventually enact the diabolical plan that destroyed the Twin Towers. This semi-fictionalized dramatic account stars Karim Saleh, Kamel, Agni Tsangaridou and Omar Berdouni. Directed by Antonia Bird; written by Ronan Bennett and Alice Pearman. I commented to my husband that the acting was quite good. I was surprised.
I found it scary too. Especially the prep time before the bomb went off.
