It's time to cut off negotiations with the NK regime. Cut off any aid and give South Korea the ability to create nukes themselves. "M.A.D." on the Korean peninsula. Maybe it will teach the Chinese, Europeans and the rest of the world that by sitting on your butts not dealing with the issue has you going backward instead of forward. We did the MAD thing with the Soviets for 50 years we can continue it with NK. Besides missile defense will be up and running in the next 10 years. Enough to protect our own soil. Plain and simple. Starve Kim and his thugs out now and should he decide in a last grasp of power to do something about our actions then show him what SDI really is. The NK's ace in the deck was developing the nuke. Now their hand is shown. Also make a flat policy statement to NK. Any suspected NK nuke material, devices or nuke weapons found being shipped, shared or in the hands of any group designated a terrorist organization intentional or unintentional will be an act of stated aggression against the US and require a preemptive strike on all their nuclear facilities civilian and non civilian. Any suspected NK nuke device attempted to be detonated or detonated whether by NK or any other organization against US allies, interests or soil will be a declaration of war against the U.S. and will result in a full nuclear retaliatory strike. Lay it all on the table. Notice I placed the word "suspected" in there. Basically you gotta tell NK they better damn well police their *hit. No bull games on this one. Just as Kennedy stated during the Cuban missile crisis that any launch from Cuba at the US or any allies will result a full nuke response by the US against the Soviets. No wiggle room for the bastards. We'll see how great they think having a nuke is when they have the economic and military pressure of the world against them.

I have a feeling we have already done that. They are and have proliferated missle technology to Iran and Pakistan rather then plutonium at this point. I believe they will attack South Korea conventionally and would use their nukes on one of our allies such as Japan if and when we interceed. They could also use them to attack our fleet if/when we interceed. Since their capabilities to produce nuclear materials are limited, I do not believe they would smuggle it to the terrorists, but use it for the purposes mentioned above.

I'd like to agree with you, but I see the South Koreans just as eagerly selling nukes as the North Koreans.

And no, I'm not kidding. They are not remotely subtle in their references to their alliance with our country as one of convenience for THEM. If they had their own nukes, it'd just be a matter of time before the Commie-lovers they have running their country start hawking the bomb to Arab countries that are aligned against us.

Ask yourself this: what have they done for US lately? The answer you're likely to come up with:

Yeah, that's right:

I'll say it again--they have done this for us:
