I understand why being an athiest would keep you from going to church; but I don't understand why it would cause you to imply moral equivalence between Islam and Christianity. Christian fundamentalists annoy you by preaching at you on a street corner. Muslim fundamentalists annoy you (quite terminally) by slicing your head off on a street corner.

StottNikk is not an atheist. StottNikk is a Muslim.

"The peace that Christ offers is not territorial, but internal. It is achieved not b y making the whole world Muslim through territorial expansion, but by experiencing the restful assurance of divine forgiveness, protection, and salvation. It is an internal peace that enables us to live in a trouble world without letting our hearts be troubled or afraid. Ultimately, this is the peace that every human being needs. The is the peace that can help Muslims to live at peace with God, themselves, and others."

I am what you call "attempting to be Christian" a statement I make with sincere humility. Let me say this, the above statement is true. I am not afraid of what is to come in the future. I have entered the "Rest of the Lord". If any of you on FR know what I am talking about, say "AMEN"

Christianity came from Jesus, and if you believe Jesus is God, how can it possibly have any faults? Hmmmm?

Jesus and God (and the Holy Spirit) are perfect, but the church is made up of imperfect men - forgiven men, but as of yet imperfect. Just read 1st or 2nd Corinthians to get an idea how many mistakes the church was making at the time - incest and the idea of sinning more to get more grace! Amen though for Godly correction, humility, and repentance. One of the most profound aspects of Christianity is that a Christian can truly change!

The all-merciful, all-benificent, almighty, all-FUBAR Allah will issue a fatwa on him.

Yep, the peacefull religion will unleash a jihad on this man for suggesting that Islam is associated in any way with violence.
