HONG KONG, Jan 24 (Reuters) - A large earthquake hit Sulawesi, Indonesia, early on Monday, the Hong Kong Observatory said. The quake, measured at 6.1 on the Richter scale at 4.15 a.m. (2015 GMT) in Hong Kong, was centred about 40 km (25 miles) south-southwest of Palu, the observatory reported.
It gave no further information.
The quake comes less than a month after the magnitude 9.0 Dec. 26 quake in the west of Indonesia that generated a tsunami, killing as many as 234,000 people around the Indian Ocean rim.

To: johniegrad
well dude, last week i read that one of the Saudi imans said that the reason the tsunami happened at christmas was that an islamic country had let christians in to sunbathe and defile an islamic country and it was allah wrath...

This is just another aftershock, I suppose. Of course, quakes of this magnitude were common in that area even before the big one last month.

No sympathy for Muslim dictatorships.

Not an aftershock; completely different system of faults and nowhere near the area that slipped in the Sumatran quake.
Considering it occured in an area with a high concentration of Christians the usual sort of moronic gloatfest over the quake as punishment seems even more stupid than usual as well.
Not a particularly big deal or notable as a quake.

It's all Bush's "fault" (pun sort of intended)!
