Friday, a university employee... complained
Ten bucks says it was a Professor, probably PolySci, or Liberal Arts.

God forbid a public university might allow employees to show patriotism. These "halls of higher learning" are such a joke.

I wonder if the message had been something different concerning the troops, would that have been acceptable? I think we know the answer to the question.

It is too bad that there are those so easily offended that a sticker supporting that person's right to object has to be removed. My stickers have my grandson's name on them as he is serving in Falluja.
How sad that they have to destroy everyone else's rights in order to be certain the complainer isn't offended.

No big surprise this is coming out of the People's Republic of Eugene.
"It really comes down to the question of should state employees be allowed to express their opinions,"
Feh, if state employees are not allowed to express their opinions then every one of the moonbat profs at UO should be fired. The hypocrisy is stunning. The instructors can get away with shoving Communism down the student's throats, but a simple delivery driver can't even support the troops. Good lord this pisses me off.

...Under state law... public employees can not use state resources to spread political messages...There's no way any instructor at U of O has used his class time to pontificate about the war, or federal education funding or right-wing christians. Here's hoping the YR's strike back using this university stance as ammunition.

How dare they!!!!
I'd like to send some of my stickers to someone on campus. Please FReep mail me with your name and address.

So sad what the liberals have done to our country. It is so despicable and disgusting at times that one desires revenge.

It's always nice to see how Higher Ed supports freedom of speech and "diversity."

I wonder if 97% of the U of O professors had to remove the yellowing "Che" posters from their university-owned office walls?

I wonder exactly what "political message" a sticker to support the troops makes? The intolerance of these people is laughable.

Oregon....it figures! Our state is rampant with lunatics! It amazes me the petty things people find "offensive". Whatever happened to freedom of speech? I guess that doesn't apply to government employees. What is happening to this country?
Sometimes I just don't feel proud to be an American.....especially when I'm surrounded by idiots!

If the truck belongs to the university I have no problem with the ban as long as they ban all bumper stickers.
