Will Ted Kennedy's obituary begin with the death of Mary Jo?No, but it should. It should say something like: "Senator Ted Kennedy, whose hope of a successful run for the presidency were forever put to rest along with the body of his victim, Mary Jo Kopechne...."

That Woods inadvertently caused the 18 1/2 minute gap was one of those "if you can believe this, you'll believe anything" theories, sort of like the idea that the Rathergate memoes could have been typed in the early 1970s.

Pres. Gerald Ford?
His last public appearence was Washington 30 year reunion of his assuming office, in August. He was looking slow and shaky then.
He might go by years end.

Only here will it appear. Then you'll get the usual hypocritic posters weeping to bless his soul. Why would the left change their opinion of Ted with his passing in light of the following while still alive:
[snip] 2003's winner for the worst of the year was jarring, from a piece in the Boston Globe Magazine. Writer Charles Pierce wrote, with no sense of irony, "If she had lived, Mary Jo Kopechne would be 62 years old. Through his tireless work as a legislator, Edward Kennedy would have brought comfort to her in her old age." [/snip] NRO 12/31/2003

I disagree! Clinton's funeral will be heavily attended. Just think of all the people who want to piss on his grave

In honour of Mrs. Woods' memory, let us now pause for 18 1/2 minutes of silence.

The last thing at any funeral is being set in the ground. Those who want to pay their final visitation will wait until after he has been buried (like the next day).
The procession of people waiting to pee on Clinton's grave will make the processional at Graceland pale in comparison.
