Kerik was. Until he wasn't. Maybe we need to step back and rethink this one, too.
I hate to say it, but Kerik's character failings are another indicator of something gone wrong. I'm unclear what the common factor is in these appointments, but could it be that Bush's recruitment teams are asking them the wrong questions?
