Will John Kerry run again? The ball is in Teresa's hands

Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry may want to consider running for president again in 2008. But his wife, local ketchup heiress Teresa Heinz Kerry of Fox Chapel, has made it clear she won't sit still for another campaign. "It's a once-in-a-lifetime thing," an unidentified Heinz Kerry friend told the Boston Herald. "Teresa will never do it again."

Not necessarily, said Jeff Lewis, a Heinz Kerry spokesman.

"Teresa Heinz is too smart to say that," he said. "She campaigned her heart out, as did her husband ... it was hard work and a great experience and we'll just go from there."

According to the Herald, sources say Heinz Kerry went into a deep funk after President George Bush was re-elected -- especially because her husband came so close to victory.

Will John Kerry run again?

Probably not. It's just a wild guess at this point, but I think the Dems ticket in '08 is probably going to be some variation on Clinton/Obama.

if the Clintoon crowd is trying to do "trades" and get the Pubs to allow a President to serve three terms, then we have a Candidate in 2008...

Big Balls (AC/DC)

I'm ever upper class high society
God's gift to ballroom notoriety
I always fill my ballroom
the event is never small
the social pages say I've got
the biggest balls of all

(chorus) oh, I've got big balls
I've got big balls
and they're such big balls
dirty big balls
and he's got big balls
and she's got big balls
but we've got the biggest balls of them all

and my balls are always bouncing
my ballroom always full
and everybody cums and cums again
if your name is on the guest list
no-one can take you higher
everybody says I've got
great balls of fire

(chorus)

some balls are held for charity
and some for fancy dress
but when they're held for pleasure
they're the balls that I like best
my balls are always bouncing
to the left and to the right
it's my belief that my big balls
should be held every night

(chorus)

Imagine what she will look like in 4 years.

Imagine what he'll look like in 4 years. He'll be even more Botox-ed to mask the signs of old age on his face that he'll look like something out of Madame Tussaud's museum.

Isn't his senate seat up in the same year?

It is.

If so, he has more decisions to make.

What decisions? He'll obviously run for re-election for the Senate, since there's no guarantee that he'd win the general, hell, he'll have a tough enough time winning the primaries. He's not going to risk falling into complete obscurity when he can have a high-profile, fallback job to go back to. And he won't have any problems running for both at the same time--even if he doesn't spend one second campaigning there, MA will re-elected him to the Senate. And if there is a law that a person cannot run for two federal offices at the same time, the dems in the state legislature will change the law, yet again, to favor their boy--just like they did over who would get to appoint Kerry's replacement had he won.

I would be very surprised if Obama is on the ticket in '08--for one thing, he's just a freshman senator, it's way too soon for him (John Edwards, anyone?), and secondly, he'd be considered way too 'threatening' with his "star power" and political ambitiousness.

Alternate title:

Teresa Has John By the Short Hairs

I don't think he has any--he probably has them waxed.

whoa.....how did you get a copy of the Rat play book ?
I'm guessing that's exactly how he's going to play it.
and that too will cost him some votes.

As Churchill once said in answer to a question he did not like. "The answer is in the plural and they bounce!."

Kerry's time has come and gone disgracefully, and there is nothing that either he nor his snakelike wife can do about it.

Having been exposed as a major fraud in Vietnam (his service in that war being his only real claim to the Demmies nomination this year) and a flip-flopper whose allegiance to popularity polls far trumphs his non-existant allegiance to U.S. defense, the Democratic party woiuld commit political hari-kari to nominate him again.

He is too old; he is too dull, and he is a constant reminder of the massive failure of socialism at the polls on nearly every level this past year. It just Won't happen.

Look for a Hitlery Clinton (who is even now trying to fool the softheaded into thinking her a centrist) ticket in '08, maybe with Barak (I don't know a thing but I look good) Obama as her running mate.

Reminds me of the Sam Kinison Routine-

The nice thing about marriage is that THESE ARE CONNECTED!!!. If they weren't the wife would take them and ....

Mama Heinz can afford the surgery to make them detachable though.

"Honey, can I run for president again? I need those, aw come on, Hillary is bringing hers, why can't I bring mine?"
