No. It's a simple matter of how politics typically works. Bush wants Perry's support on any number of things in Texas, so he throws him a bone by picking X-Rod for a minor judicial post.
Anyway, not sure what that has to do with anything...
I remember encountering an asp when I was just a little kid.Cute lookin' little fuzzballs but don't touch 'em. OUCH!
Whoops! I touched him the first time I saw him. Only once, though.
:^)
In a strange sort of way, that's the one thing I miss about East Texas: the subtropical flora and fauna. As a kid, it wasn't that great: you run through the woods, or through a field, and you risk ruining your day from snakes, asps, fireants, whatever. Same for the water there, and water moccasins, and gators. For that reason, we mostly stayed indoors, or in paved areas/mowed areas for sports.
But from a naturalist/photographer perspective I kind of wish I had some of those subjects as they'd make nice additions to a photo collection.
DO me a favor an d read the WISH List's mission statement:
The WISH List raises funds to identify, train and elect pro-choice Republican women
at all levels of government -- local, state and national.
(from http://www.thewishlist.org/Mission.htm)
Care to rethink your position on Hutchison raising money for them and serving on their board?!?
Electing pro-abortion women is their TOP PRIORITY.
Also, Roe v. Wade is THE issue. Her vote in support of that resolution plainly indicated her support for the Roe v. Wade decision. She supports abortion rights. In my opinion, that is not a meaningless vote. It is the most important vote. Especially since Hutchison probably just wants to be Governor to make herself viable (no pun intended) for a run for the White House, either as president or veep.
Sounds like you work for her, or something.
Yet they've also backed pro-life candidates before. Imagine that.
like who?
i'd be surprise since they are organized to elect pro-choice women...
