The difference between a US Democratic Republic and a Democracy is that the US has a Constitution which gives rights and freedon of speech to those citizens who have lost power.

There are three words not found anywhere in the U.S. Constitution, ON PURPOSE..
1) democracy, 2) democratic and 3) democrat...

Its because democracy is MOB RULE.. and no democracy that ever existed was NOT a socialist state.. from the beginning till NOW.. The founders were not conserned with the symptoms they didn't want the disease.. in the first place.. Democracy is the disease that socialism is only a symptom OF.. That is WHY the U.S. was not designed to BE a democracy.. and also WHY those three words are not found anywhere in the American Constitution..
Do not overlook the fact that many americans have been brain washed into believing socialism is a GOOD THING.. Where socialism is abject slavery by government.. That is run by a MOB of political elites.. and not always elected even.. becuase it is MOB run by mobsters that are all mobbed UP.. That is why no third party has a chance.. Becuase a third party is a cowardly way of NOT having a revolution.. AS THE FOUNDERS SUGGESTED MIGHT BE NEED IN THE FUTURE.. when The United STates BECAME a democracy..
