BERLIN (Reuters) - German officials are drawing up lists of hundreds of Islamic militants to be deported from the country under a new law making expulsions easier, the German weekly magazine Der Spiegel said on Saturday.
Der Spiegel said authorities were already using their powers under an immigration law introduced this month in conducting an operation dubbed "Aktion Kehraus" ("Action Sweep Out").
The Interior Ministry declined to comment on the report beyond saying that deportations were a matter for Germany's 16 federal states.
Under new rules, potential deportees will not be able to use normal legal channels to challenge an expulsion order. A special panel of the Federal Administrative Court will be responsible, with no right of appeal.
Der Spiegel said judges were expected to deal with up to 2,000 cases per year.
Since the revelations in 2001 that Arab students who had lived for years in Hamburg led the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on the United States, Germans have questioned their liberal laws under which some suspected militants even draw welfare benefits.
Interior Minister Otto Schily has suggested that evidence of training at an al Qaeda camp should be clear grounds for expelling a foreign national. Distributing videos calling for "holy war" could also be punished the same way.

It's true that so many Europeans have seemingly had a death wish, and multi-millions of Europeans were killed in WWI and WWII. Now, one way of expressing the death wish is to allow non-European Muslims an ever-growing - and threatening - presence in countries like Germany, Holland, France, etc. Some Europeans are becoming alarmed, but their own fellow citizens in the far left-wing will hold them back, and the neo-nazis would totally discredit them.

Hmmmmmm. then, after the Islamanoids take over completely, Germany can then have an excuse (and a good one this time) to invade France again....and any other nearby country that is friendly to Muslims.

Those probably will be where they end up --- we haven't begun to learn --- not even after 9-11, not even after the slaughter of the Christian family the other day in NJ. Funny how the Middle Easterners don't seem to want to go to Iraq and fight for freedom and democracy there. It's not likely they consider those worth fighting for.
I don't think the Jews were given a choice to leave. Being deported back to your own country is hardly the worst thing that can happen. If I was in a country that didn't like Americans --- being sent back here wouldn't exactly disturb me too much.
