[Hopper] is a hard-core supporter of Bush,

Dang, I didn't know that. And Matthew Modine? That's a head-scratcher. The only one of this group I really like is Joey Pants. Glad he's on W's side, at least.

I seem to recall hearing Joey Pants on some TV show before the election and he was NOT on W's side at that time. I was surprised to see him at one of the Balls.

"[Hopper] is a hard-core supporter of Bush,"

- I've heard Hopper being interviewed a number of times and I would be very surprised if he a Bush supporter. Although still intelligible, he is a bit wacko from all those years of heavy drug use. His circle of friends seem to be mostly in the artsy crowd who wouldn't tolerate a Republican within a mile of one of their soirees.
I can't imagine why he would organize an inaugural event unless it was in the hopes of getting close enough to the President to cause a scene.
