Well golly gee...what a bummer. I won't be able to sleep a wink because the Norwegians are upset about a hand gesture. Aren't they the Scandinavians who are so culturally sensitive?
Yeah...only when it suits them.

Bush has been called on huge posters Satan, with dropping blood from his mouth all around the world. Now they are getting upset because a sign? They knew where he belongs. What's the surprise? (sarcasm)

Those Norweigans are sooooo ignorant. Man they need to learn of other cultures. The world doesn't revolve around them you know.
Hell! Bevo was even there and Jenna went to Texas. Aggies got the thumbs up "gig em' and Tech has the double pistols. Funny stuff.

Yes, you idiots, Bush is a satanist. I guess that means they'll like him now.

"what the finger means in Norwegian"
A signal to the other person that he has a booger hanging off his nose?
To: conservativebabe
Since they apparently are denser than a bag of friggin' hair, they'd probably think it means "We're Number One!"

How do we know that the ever "fair and balanced" Associated Press didn't just hear that the gesture means something else in Norway, and trump up the story to cast aspersions on Bush.
Nobody like to stir up trouble more than the press...it's manufacturing new news.

You must not know Southern football. We are all pretty crazy about school traditions. Even 90 year olds would be big fans. I know because my mom is that old and goes to all the college games. :-)

Just out of curiosity, why should I care if Norway is confused?

Don't they also use the same hand signal in Hawaii?
President Bush is from Texas, his daughters went to school in Texas. Those Norwegians don't know much about the US, do they?

LOL.......sounds like a regional feud to me though I knew many Finns who equally thought that...........though they were sexually explosive all the time so I'm not sure I read them correctly...............

I can think of another finger gesture that the Norwegians would fully comprehend.

The "Unicus" sign? YOu mean the "victory sign" that Papa Bush waved to the Aussies with?

The Norwegians, as well as other outsiders, have no business looking in on our culture and making assumptions based on THEIR stuff! It is silly and sophomoric at the lightest and dangerous at worst.

'Cause it means the same bloody thing here in New York. I'll admit I winced when I saw Barbara do that on th Washington Post... it took me half a second to remember that they were all Texans.
