I think the term for this type of rant in the psychiatric community is "projection". The uncomfortable fact for the rest of the planet is that US opinion and beliefs (as acted upon by the executive) are the ONLY things that matter anymore. The USA need not solicit opinion from the outside, nor give a "penny d*mn" what anyone else thinks or believes.

It's interesting. As Russia is reverting to the tactics used by the Soviet Union, as they are affected personally by terrorism, the people of Russia seem to be weighting themselves more in tune with American policy.
Check out that "global poll". They were against G.W. by only 1%? point? I wouldn't discount the Russian people. Their politicians may be our enemies but I wonder if a "Ukraine" revolt could occur to prevent Putin was furthering the KGB agenda.
