President Bush: Keep Your Freedom and Democracy to Yourself (Russian Pravda is Nervous)
Pravda ^ | 1/21/05 | Timothy Bankcroft Hinchey

Posted on 01/21/2005 12:17:17 PM PST by gopwinsin04

The international community does not want George W. Bush's freedom and democracy, neither does it want its hearts and minds won over by shock and awe tatics, thank you very much.

Let's face it, if there was an election in the international community, George W. Bush might get elected as a member of a freak show, or perhaps a kitchen hand, handing out plastic turkeys in tents, but for the leadership of a country?

Perhaps in a handful of countries like Albania, which might first think about bank accounts rather than any notion of political leadership; but in the international community as a whole, the NO vote would be far in excess of 80% as is patently evident in numerous opinion polls.

George Bush can keep his freedom and democracy to himself and his own country. Nobody asked for his opinion abroad and no one is interested in his opinion abroad.

The very notion that George Bush can make a speech to begin his second and last term as president of the USA, referring to the international community, gives rise to the notion that he has an inflated sense of his own importance.

Who asked for his opinion outside of the USA and basically, who gives a penny d*mn what he believes in? It is his problem and the people who elected him.

Let George Bush sort out his own problems and leave the rest of the world alone. Nobody called him, nobody wants him and judging by his inaugural, neither do a substantial proportion of the American citizenry.

It's interesting. As Russia is reverting to the tactics used by the Soviet Union, as they are affected personally by terrorism, the people of Russia seem to be weighting themselves more in tune with American policy.

Check out that "global poll". They were against G.W. by only 1%? point? I wouldn't discount the Russian people. Their politicians may be our enemies but I wonder if a "Ukraine" revolt could occur to prevent Putin was furthering the KGB agenda.

This columnist, well, this is a childishrant. It doesn't even pretend to any standard of journalism. It isn't worthy of comment other than to say Freedom is coming. Whether they like it or not.

The axis of evil is growing, It seems Russia is now emerging fron the communist undergrounda that never really died, to the old standard, The Soviet Socialist Republic.

Nonsense! Russians more than any people know communism does not work. The greatest Christian revival in history is going on in the former Soviet Union. Yes, they have a long ways to go, because the Mafia is troublesome and the robber barons still control much of the economy. With respect to the Mafia, they are where we were in 1935 to 1955, but we grew out of it. BTW, the KGB (FSB) and the Mafia are not one in the same.

The author of this piece sure doesn't seem to believe that.

First of all, here's some disturbing statistics on late 2003.

According to Russian central statistic agency "VTsIOM":
45% of Russians want to live under socialism
23% of Russians want to live under Putin
5% of Russians want to live under monarchy
3% of Russians want to live under capitalist Perestroika

According to "VTsIOM", if Soviet revolution starts today:
43% of Russians will support Bolsheviks
16% of Russians will leave the country
8% of Russians will fight against Bolsheviks

According to "VTsIOM":
53% of Russians think that Stalin played absolutely positive role in Russian history

Taking in account this information, do you think that return of Soviet Empire is problem for American national security? If it is, how it should be dealt with?

Would you like to know why they are nervous?

The country most likely to suffer from the possible construction of pipelines in Afghanistan is Russia, currently a leading member of the anti-terrorism coalition, and a long-time sponsor of the Northern Alliance. Moscow has long been wary about the development of new Central Asian oil and gas export routes that do not go through Russian territory.

There are some indirect signs that the idea of a trans-Afghan gas project is being revived. The United States and Great Britain have recently lifted economic sanctions against Afghanistan. This move, apprehensively notes Moscow economic publication Rossiiskaya Biznes-Gazeta, "can be the first harbinger of the US companies’ intentions to re-join the trans-Afghan gas consortium."

PIPELINE PERKS FOR RUSSIA IN ARMENIA-IRAN ENERGY DEAL
Samvel Martirosyan 12/21/04

Print this article Email this article

Iran has moved closer to gaining a strategic foothold in Caucasian energy markets with the start of work on a gas pipeline to Armenia that has been heralded by Yerevan as bringing "definite changes in the region." The project has the potential to undercut Russia’s control of Armenia’s energy supply, yet two new gas projects could act as potential deal sweeteners for this longtime Armenian ally. Plans were recently announced for an increase in Armenian orders for Russian gas and a possible role in the Iranian pipeline project for Russian energy giant Gazprom.

23% of Russians want to live under Putin You need to check out your sources before posting drivel. In the last election Putin gathered 76% of the popular vote. The rest of your garbage isn't worth commenting on. BTW, have you ever been to Russia? How many times? How many Russians do you know? Do you speak Russian?

That was 2003, and my drivel is about Putin who does not want democracy, so him winning the election is worse for those who would back democracy.

Putin was never anything but KGB, and they are not the Freedom Fughters. 76& of the vote shows he sold the bolsheviks on his real agenda.
