As for the occupied territories insuring your security. Not really.
20 years ago strategic depth might have been measured in depth, now it is measured in TIME.
With it's satillite capability and other intelligence collection capabilities, Israel knows immediately when any arab tank battalion leaves the motor pool.
Because of this mobilization timelines are way in Israels favor. You'd have your whole Army cocked and ready before the Arabs had even started marshalling.
Not to mention the fact that you've got nuclear weapons.
Because of these two factors Israel is now invulnerable to conventional military attack, and would be just as invulnerable from the 1967 borders as from the occupied territories.
The land you took is a bargaining chip. Time to bargain. Trouble is, you don't bargain in good faith.
As long as you keep aparthite going on the west bank there won't be any peace.
The wall is actually a good solution, but build it on the 1967 borders. Make one checkpoint charlie and go to Sri Lanka for gast arbieten to pay wetback wages, don't let any Palestinians in, period.
Give them their state on the west bank with the proviso it only has a police force not an army
